i love when i take insanely inopportune pictures of keaton. i have a million sweet smiley baby boy pictures displayed around the house and all over my facebook, but the kickers are the crying, ugly face making, getting into massive trouble pictures. we’ve taken a few lately that could definitely double as mug shots for baby jail.
this kid has such a personality and i can’t get over how much it has been coming out lately. i know i say this at every stage, but is there anything better than an 8 month old?! (in a few weeks when he is 9 months, i suppose that will be my answer).
this is my current facebook profile picture. i love it, perhaps too much. he either looks like he is about to sneeze (which is the truth), or he’s been out with his buds for a night of heavy drinking (which is presumably false. he does “sleep” for 12 hours though and i usually have the monitor off, so who knows where he could be sneaking off to. he is a fast crawler and likes the ladies)
and this one? this one simply makes me look like a bad mom. it’s okay, baby, keep crying so mama can get a picture of it. (this was not the case, but alas, a picture can’t tell the truth, as we learned in exhibit A!)

speaking of pictures: i didn’t mention it a few weeks ago because well, it’s kinda embarassing, but we took keaton to an open casting call for baby models recently at a local baby store (check it out here: my super awesome OB owns it, you’ll love it!). we thought- everyone thinks their baby is the cutest baby in the world, so they probably won’t “pick” him, but oohh, free professional pictures, we’re in! turns out, they loved keaton. loved loved. fast forward a couple weeks, and here we are applying for a work permit for our 8 month old. too much. he’ll be making more money than his mama pretty soon (of course, that all goes to college tuition, but still. bacon bringer homer). just thought i’d share, as hopefully the adventure in baby modeling with the awesome people at minikin will begin soon!
