those moments

you know those moments when you can literally feel the excitement that a child is experiencing?

i want to hold onto all of those moments that keaton has. that i get to be a part of. when i get to see his little mind literally explode with learning, excitement, and love. he really is teaching me how to slow down and appreciate the little things. because he doesn’t understand little things. everything is amazing to him. new. different. exciting. interesting. worthy of a moment to inspect. the simplest things can send his legs shaking and arms flailing, squealing with delight.

and if it involves a mirror. and mama. well, there’s just nothing better.
